“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.”
Henry Ford
A one-star review can ruin an author’s day. I try to avoid that reaction.
If it has any constructive information, I can learn to do better. Like having the manuscript proofread fifty times!
If it is just a cranky tirade. Then the person might have had a terrible day. Or, they are not my part of my reader tribe. There are countless genres and writing styles available. It’s silly to think everyone will like my stories.
Rather than let it take my eyes off my goals, I get back to what’s important. To tackle my work in progress, hoping it will be my best book yet.
