I enjoy writing small town romances because everyone knows what’s going on. With couples, I like them to have friends and family to offer good and bad advice. Not to mention a few dogs that help their owners when things get difficult.

I’ve shared before that I had no idea John Hawthorne was going to rescue Hailey’s mom and get her medical attention. I still choke up when I think about Hailey’s reaction when she found out what he had done.
In Franklin’s book, his uncle invites every relative in town to the wedding. Franklin is sure no one will show up because of his history. No spoilers here, since the book isn’t out yet. But Franklin doesn’t realize the impact of his one courageous act.
Going back to Abby’s story. When Jackson offered to cancel her phone because her ex-fiancée continued to text her, I had no clue he was going to keep it. That resulted in Del showing up in Laughing Falls.
And there’s Her Fake Fiancé. I like my characters to grow, but Trisha blossomed beyond my expectations. Especially when she wouldn’t take Hunter back right away.
